Barry and Robin Gibb are pictured after receiving their honorary doctorates in music from the University of Manchester back in 2004. The Gibb brothers also accepted a posthumous honorary degree for their late brother Maurice.

Robin had kept himself busy with a variety of projects including writing and composing songs, and appearing in two series of BBC talent show, Fame Academy in 2002 and 2003.
